The Journey: From Sustainable Fashion Pioneer to Conference Interpreter

My instinct for cross-cultural communication was sharpened through first-hand entrepreneurial success. I hold a BA in International Studies and an MA in Development Studies from the University of Leeds (UK). Early in my career, I managed ethical fashion production pipelines across India, Peru, and Tokyo (including pioneering sustainable label People Tree Japan).

In 2010, I co-founded Etrican, Singapore’s pioneer ethical fashion e-commerce label. Building this brand from the ground up required mastering brand strategy, international negotiation, and high-profile media presence. Our work earned:

In 2013, a pivot into professional interpreting at the Audi Fashion Festival blossomed into a full-time career. Over the last decade, my practice has expanded globally—interpreting in live translation booths and corporate boardrooms from Tokyo and Singapore to Melbourne, Dubai, and Barcelona.
